Archaeopteryx Skyline
I've always liked that bit in Fear And Loathing..., where HST writes about how (if my memory serves me correctly) they're just out of Barstow when the drugs take hold, and then the sky seems to fill with bats... this song goes one further, and imagines the skyline teeming with Archaeopteryx, the first dinosaur bird... its also very loud, and probably the punkiest most primitive thing posted so far on this blog, so watch your ears, and Happy New Year 2009!

Snowflakes Falling On The International Dateline
You will have spotted that I've nicked the title of this piece from Lester Bangs's 1971 Creem essay on the Count Five; "Snowflakes Falling On The International Dateline" being the title of their fictitious 5th LP, but hey, it fits the mood of this song, and I wanted to do something Christmassy and with a slow-motion-film-of-snowflakes feel, and with voices that sound like bells, or vice versa, so here it is! And Merry Christmas to all my friends out there, and a Happy New Year! And thanks for listening to my music, and sticking with it so long - this post today means I've been posting now for six whole months, so this is the halfway point, it feels good to have made it this far!

One Pink Sock
This is the shortest track I've posted so far, clocking in at about 4o seconds, but it's short and sweet, and to the point I think. It sounds a bit like those folky guitar pieces that pop up on things like "Tomorrow Come Someday", or lots of other late sixties/early seventies British films/kid's TV; maybe a little mysterious, and slightly nostalgic - it makes me feel nostalgic anyway. I shall dedicate this track to Oliver Postgate, because the programmes he made were a big part of my childhood, and now he is gone. But not forgotten...
