First off, I must confess, this isn't actually a new track. Secondly, it did take longer than a week to compose/arrange/record, but I'm feeling too sleep-deprived and discombobulated today to do a new thing, then I listened to this piece which I'd done a little while ago, and thought that it deserved releasing, for anyone to hear if they wanted, and I
did think of a new name for it, even if it is a bit silly, so there you go... and actually, the name is quite apt, when I come to think of it, seeing as it conjures up images (to me at least) of castles and battles and suchlike. And also it serves as a good musical accompaniment to all the fireworks that are exploding non-stop outside our house tonight...The piece is divided into little bits, (I hesitate to call them 'movements'), which are as follows:
1. Fanfare/fighting in the surf.
2. Aftermath: out on the shoreline at dusk.
3. Swooping and soaring: over the battlements.
See you all next week, with a new piece of music, and hopefully a renewed me, fighting-fit and champing at the bit!
