Why Are You Crying?

Week 14, and yes, this is a very early post, 'cos I know I'll be away from internet access and my MacBook this coming Wednesday, so here is another piece (don't know if you'd call it a "song" as such, but there you go...), the title came to me as the notes appeared. I actually recorded this earlier this year, before I started this blog, thinking at some point I'd re-record it for Clean Machines O.T.B.&.B., but then I decided to just post the original, straight, just as it came out of the guitar (or was it my little electric sitar? Can't remember now!), my eBow and my MicroCube, that afternoon in mid-April.
It kind of sounds tortuous and sad and squeaky, I imagined a little squeaky furry creature asking a slightly larger one what the matter was, and the melody suggested the words of the title.
Oh, and this is quite loud, somehow, so please watch out for your ears, boys and girls, and keep the volume low! And try not to listen to this on headphones please! Thank you, and see you all soon!

This didn't make me feel sad at all - instead it reminded me of an accordion, and the effect was more of a soothing kind.
Soothing furry creatures...

To me, its also half a sad sound, like a violin, and half a squeaky sound, like when the hinges on a gate have gone rusty and need oiling...

Or maybe lots of furry creatures trying to ride an old broken bicycle down a hill!
