Cherry-Eyed Girl Of The Mutant Lowlands
I was wondering what to call this track, and decided to sleep on it; in the early hours of this morning, a title popped into my head which I later realised I'd thought of as being a good name for a song when I was in school (think I was reading 'The Chrysalids' at the time, hence the mutant bit of the title). I must've written it down in an exercise book, and somehow filed it away in the back of my mind too... which proves that this blog really is a good way of clearing out the old cluttered shed of my memory if all kinds of titles, as well as melodies, from years ago are suddenly coming to light. This track seems to have some of the drift of that Harmonia Live 1974 album, but with added Keiji Haino & Sitaar Tah! elements... and there's one little fragment that sounds like Cale's viola near the end of "Heroin"; basically a big accidental yammering psychedelic sprawl. Just shows what you can do with a groovebox, two backwards guitar tracks and an EBow! Oh, and three big cups of tea in as many hours...
